LSU RB’s warning for Texas, Oklahoma joining SEC: ‘I don’t think they know what they’re getting into’

Josh Williams has a warning for Oklahoma and Texas.

The LSU running back, a Houston native, explained Monday during Day 1 of SEC media days in Nashville it will be different for the Longhorns and Sooners when they leave the Big 12 Conference for the SEC.

“I don’t think they know what they’re getting into,” Williams said Monday, per On3. “The SEC is a beast, everybody knows. But I’m excited for them to actually get into the conference.

“You know being from Texas and seeing all these guys from Texas either have to go to A&M or leave the state to play in the SEC, it’s a big deal to really have another opportunity for guys to be playing in Texas, stay in the state and play for their state.”

It’s been busy day for Williams. Earlier in the day, he explained what LSU’s win over Alabama meant for the Tigers’ program last year.
